okay like eveyday for 3 days i would think of something out of no where and then it would happen like i can tell the future or something i think its cool but weird and i wanna kno what its called and y it happens so if u can hep me thank you alot and if u tried to help then thankyou ex:1 today i wanted my friend wanted to come over and check his myspace and my mom was out with her b/f so i was like okay but i told him id call him back but im aloud to have kids over but i wasnt sure about him cause hes 18 and im 15 and my mom doesnt know him so i didnt want her to see him here and after i told him id call back i was like hmmm... what if my mom cam home and then like a minute later she walked in the door)

I have been "friends" with her for 12 years. We have had our falling outs and made up, time and time again. Only this time is different....I'm getting tired of "breaking/making up". I have been there for her when not even her family was. I would do things like take her places since she has no car, buy her groceries when I didn't even have the money to, and just little things, like cigarettes, soda, lunch, etc. Until a year ago, I was single with children of my own and it was like I was taking care of 2 families. I let her and her 4 kids stay at my house for 2 or 3 days at a time in my 2 bdrm apt. Well it came down to this...she has a myspace page and is trying to talk to every freakin guy on there. She's in love with a different guy every week. She wanted me to give her money for gas to see a guy in another state, which coincidently doesn't have a job either. I told her no, and she has completely written me off. Am I wrong to tell her that I'm fed up and don't bother trying to make up?

I so had a similar experience like this. It's so emotionally and financially draining and the guilt you feel is heavy. SHE IS USING YOU. When you realise that and make a choice to stop, it can be very relieving.

Just try to ignore her and carry on with your life. She is making reckless choices and your shouldn't have to carry that emotional burden. Report her to children's services if your worried about the welfare of the kids.

I think it is. I remember back in the 70's and 80's, we would walk to the library to get information or hang out there and we actually did good in school. Now, our kids are so lazy sitting in front of computers, or playing video games, and watchign tv. My daughter is hooked on the internet and Instant Messaging and her grades suffer. I bloke them but she is so good at comptuers that she can bybass the locks. I can't get rid of it because I like to use it. Then there is myspace which is easy for pedophiles to find children. Then a month ago my son got suspended for texting people in class with his cell phone. I think technology gicves us mroe headache, I mean we need it but people depend on it too much.

I totally understand what you are saying. Obviously technology is essential and it has helped our lives in a lot of ways, but nobody is denying that. I am 21 and none of my friends read. I am the only one. Most of them didn閳ユ獩 even read when they were in school. I have friends that have never read a book cover to cover. It閳ユ獨 so sad. I also see the way my sister has really poor English skills because she is so used to emailing or text messaging. It drives me crazy the way she writes and talks. Plus, people are so busy text messaging they can閳ユ獩 even set the phone down to drive. It really upsets me. I will be in the middle of a conversation and my friend will answer a text message while I閳ユ獡 in the middle of a sentence. I think it is so disrespectful and rude. I could go on and on, but we all know the problems. I can only hope to teach my son better manners.

as a matter of fact technology is starting to ruin us by concentration. kids today are so caught up with the newest technology and hooked with texting, myspace, facebook, ipods, and other new technology that grades in school are starting to suffer. but look at it this way also, some technology actually helps you, could you do some things at work without a computer? probably not, and a lot of kids in school find research for school projects over the internet. so yes technology is starting to ruin us but it can also help.

It absolutely is! Granted, they're are amazing advances out there, but we are much more lazy and lame. People don't know how to save money anymore. Everyone flips if the power goes out. if you think of it that way. but there's also good things that come from technology. like: instant messaging keeps her social. many kids get depressed with no friends and become suicidal. it's good your son has a phone, so he can call during emergencies, computers can still be used for research, just like libraries, and if your kids are overusing technology and you have a problem with it, set an amount of time which can be used for them to be on the computer or whatever. or ask them to go excercise, etc. also, does your daughter know that it's possible to make her myspace private so only friends can see it?

I think that is a very interesting question you pose; I have been thinking of this kind of thing myself. On the one hand we make our lives easier, more entertaining, and seemingly "better" - actually it is better in a lot of ways now that I think about it when you think about healthcare advances, etc. But when you look at what is really important to people- something that can take many of us until we are in our 50's or 60's to really appreciate.

People need to eat, be hydrated, sleep, stay warm and dry, have relationships, family, etc. (think Maslow's Pyramid); Nowadays people sit around and get upset because they are bored like they are teenagers or something. We need to look through all the distractions technology can put up and focus on what it can do for us as a tool and get on with it. By the way , I find it funny when you look at some of these catalogs and tv ads and stuff, and they have the craziest things for sale that are 'neat' because of the technology, but when you think about it, it's like 'what the heck???' - Think iDog and such...

But the actions of our children begins at home. You like to use the computer, but that doesn't mean your children have to. As a parent you can keep them from using it altogether, and your daughter won't even have the opportunity to bypass any of your security. You can also install software to help keep a better eye on their online activity without them knowing.

Your son gets in trouble for texting in class, but you're the one that provides him with a cell phone. You preach about the library and how things were before, so you should understand that kids got by just fine without their own cell phone.

I agree with you on the technology issue, but don't blame the fact that it's there for your daughter's bad grades and your son's suspension. It all starts at home.

And depending on what is being said and in what way, there will be plenty of choices for other reporting, including "Other" if they don't have a category for you to choose. I'm recently divorced with two kids.

Our son is 19 and living with my Ex-wife. He's mentally challenged and gets Social Security. She has no income!

I have custody of our 13y/o daughter.

Because of Ca. screwy Laws and his age, I can't force her to give me custody, and I rarely get to see or talk to him.

She met some guy about 3wks ago on myspace. He's 34 and from the Los Angeles area.

We live about 350 miles north of L.A.

I recently found out he's since moved in with them.

He's got various tattoos suggesting "Sureno"

affiliation. (XIII, 13, X3). He says he's not affiliated. Being a former Correctional Sergeant, I find that hard to believe.

He has no job, no home and no car.

He doesn't even have a Drivers License. I tried to do a search on his name and came up with nothing. Probably an alias.

I've tried talking with her about it, but she contends "he's a nice guy!"

I reminded her that prisons are full of seemingly nice people!

You are very rightfully concerned, but your son is an adult (sadly, he doesn't act like one). At this point, I think you can fairly say you've done everything you could to help.

I think you should focus on your daughter now, who should rightfully be very scared for her mother and brother. All you can do is be there for her. Your son seems to have made his decisions, and as terrifying as it is, I think you'll be putting you and your daughter's relationship on the line if you try to hard to chase after him. Give her everything she needs. Food, shelter, a loving and caring father, and the confidence that she can do better than her mother.

I hope things work out for you and your family. As touchy as everything is right now, the most concern I have is for your daughter.

Nothing much you can do now that you are divorced from her. If she is going to be stupid enough to allow some guy she just met move in with her that is her problem. I would talk to a lawyer though and say you are concerned about the welfare of your son and see if there is anything that can be done about the custody arrangement.

You're right to be concerned, but you are also not her boss. You should make more effort to see your son, but not necessarily get custody. Try hard to get along with your ex and the guy. HI - I asked this before and got a lot of 14 yr olds who answered, which some were appreciated - but I'm looking for answers from parents on this one please.

My step daughter is visiting for the summer and she mainly isn't very outdoorsy. She doesn't know any kids her age here as she is only here for the summer and refuses to go to any camps and meet any. She only goes out on walks or out shopping or recreational type activities with my husband, me, and my 1 yr old. Last year we allowed internet whenever and she abused it and was talking to boys after we told her not to and ended up in a very explicit sexual conversation (aka cyber sex). We had a monitoring software in place and found out and she was no longer allowed any internet time at all.

It's been a year though so we're trying to decide if we should let her use it, but just for like 30-60 mins.

We already know we are blocking myspace, as its filled with sick old perverts looking for young girls.

I think this would depend on you and her. Before you let her on, you clearly need to set guidelines as to what is and isn't appropriate. Perhaps an hour in the evening after she's helped wash up, or something like that. That way she is earning it.

Don't worry too much about her lack of sociability. It's the age.

Okay.. so me and my ex broke up back in Sept. of 07 after me deciding to keep my baby... he asked me to marry him the week before I found out I was pregnant... then when he found out he was excited.. but later was like.. we're not reayd, it isn't how we planned... lets have kids later, after we're married.. only I wasn't willing to abort... one, I'm not a murderer, and two.. I'm not suppose to be able to have kids... this is a miracle baby to me.. so we continued spending alot of time together and things got bad... alot of arguing until in 12/07 we stopped talking period. Cause he wants to see who else you are talking to. Men sometimes do the same things we women do, we "check up" to see who else is around. Also, he should and probably does feel bad about the way the situation was handled. No one else can give you self esteem or confidence, you have to find it within yourself. First, you can't focus just on your looks. Be proud of yourself as a mother, wife, and as a person. Focus on your interests and hobbies, what defines you as a person separate from being a mom or wife because while those are both something to be proud of you shouldn't let it define you as a person. Get involved in something that you are passionate about, develop yourself as a person, take some college courses, etc. Finally, if your looks are making you feel less confident, then make a decision to do something about it or learn to love yourself the way you are. Do some soul searching. Good luck!

Long story short:

I've been with the same guy on and off for 5 years. He's 20, I'm 19. We've broken up before but it was 2 years ago. Things were going really great and all of a sudden they kind of stopped. In Dec. I had a miscarriage, and then in late Jan. I saw he was "flirting" with some girl on Myspace.

With all the stuff that was going on -- I broke it off.

We still talk all the time, and we've been seperated for a little over a month now.. but on Thursday he told me what he was "feeling". He said he wanted me to move in, get married and have a family, and he wanted it SOON.

Now, I'd marry him tomorrow if I could, but having a child is a big deal. I think he thinks it will be easy and doesn't realize it's life changing.

So I told him I'd love to have kids, but not now. I want both of us to be prepared. Since then he's called once to see if I felt the same. I called once, but neither of the calls were over 5 mins. He hasn't called yet today. Why is he starting to do this?

He's forcing your hand in the matter by giving you an ultimatum. "Why" he is doing this is anyones guess, but it seems that he wants a future with you. You'll need to decide if that's the path you want to take right now with your own life.

There are pro's and con's with starting a family early. The pro's:

1. You possess more patience for your children when you are younger.

2. You can enjoy an early retirement with no kids in the house.

The con's:

1. You'll be much poorer, since you haven't saved up money and bought a house already. (I'm also guessing that at your age you do not have a college education, which will lessen your future earning abilities.)

2. The fact that you have caught him "flirting" indicates immaturity on his part. You can not afford that level of instability with your future spouse. You must know with absolute certainty that he has only feelings for you, and not a wandering eye for other women.

When I was in school national skip day was the first Friday in May. I feel that kids using a certain day to get a day off from school is absurd %26amp; disreseptful. If they plan on acknowledging the goings on in the world by maybe supporting some veterans in a veterans clinic, or to volunteer at the fire station or somrthing like that to commerate the losses of 9/11 than that would be ok. But to use someone elses losses just to get a day off NO!

I've been friends with a girl I've known since 6th grade. Up until about 4 years ago. I could only have ranted and raved about her. She fed me lunches when my mom was abusive and starving me as a child. She listened to years of my bs and was always there, always kind and always sharing. And I reciprocated the same to her. We were truly equal and good friends and it was a healthy relationship, but we were kids.

Once out of high school, she went to college 4 hours away and I had a baby. So our lives went in different paths but we talked on the phone every week at least, im'ed all the time on the computer and I went to visit her and she always made time for me when she came back home.

After her 4 years of college she moved back to our hometown and she was ready for other things in her life and me too...like dating and getting married. We were both single and ready to mingle. Well I found someone though other friends and we got very serious to the point of being engaged for a while. That is when the trouble started. She was still hitting the bars all weekend long and trying to find the love of her life and I'd found mine at the time. And I couldn't hit the bars with her and she didn't seem to want to do other things. It was a priority she had and I was being left out and I got mad with her and quit talking to her for a year. She wanted nothing to do with my new life b/c it was boring to her. And she wanted her bar friend back for the weekends.

So she found new bar friends that led her to other things like pot and eventually a bad boyfriend that was a meth lab cooker at 15, used herion, coke, etc.

He got her into pot and coke. She does only pot now but she drinks very heavily and they live in crack alley. (we obviously started talking again because I missed her and our friendship and my engagment ended) So I would still even try to go to her home and spend time with her hoping I could help or just to check and see how she was doing and she almost dragged me down to their level. I finally just told her that I wasn't comfortable at her new house and that I'd still love to be her friend but we'll have to meet up somewhere else other than there and I'd like it to be just us two and not her cracked out boyfriend. Who we all still suspect is using coke. She is blind to him and his faults and her life has become a s*it hole due to her own bad choices and being with him.

She has since only talked to me though myspace comments once a month. I'm now married of 2 months. I have a 6 year old child and I can't figure out if the friend I once loved and couldn't imagine not having is gone forever and if I should say see you later one last time. Or is it worth staying in the background in case she needs me and accept the fact she is never there for me, never sees me anymore and is only out for her and her boyfriends gain?

Any thoughts guys? I could really use this. We're 26 years old now.

And if your opinion is that I should end this and say adios...what are your suggestions on how to do it other than saying you're a drug addict, etc. and I've got to go? Thanks to who reads this.

That's really sad! This is one of those things that I don't think anyone would be able to answer as well as you. But it seems like you guys are at a point where you either have to forget about eachother, or confront eachother. There's just no other way. If she really is as valuable to you as you say, then try to get some courage and tell her your concerned for her and that if she can't see that you can't be friends anymore. Tell her how much you care for her because I bet she feels the same way. But if that doesn't work I guess you have to move on. You've got yourself and your kid to think about now!

ppl do change as we grow older /grow up....unfortunately she is now in a rutt and can't seem to pull herself out or doesn't want to at this time.

She's always been there for you, you've tried to be there for her...she chooses to stay in this drug/relationship and will probably hit rock bottom , which she will then need someone to help pull her through this when she's ready for the help.

I would stay in the background......there's no harm in that for you...........and just wait till she calls saying she needs your help* then you know she's ready....goodluck*

Long story short: BF of 15 years and I had a misunderstanding. She posted a 5 page rant on MySpace (not her personal page, but a reunion type place everyone from our town has access to), including my name and of course only her side of story. I feel like she aired dirty laundry in the most public way, and haven't talked to her since. I recently had my first child, and I feel so lonely, as I have no other friends my age, especially with kids. Part of me says good riddence and I'm better off, but I can't stop feeling really abandoned and betrayed. Advice?

So, I recently moved to a new school and, of course, when I moved here I didn't have any friends. My brother had made some friends here from MySpace so I met them. Two of them actually go to my new school and are really nice. So, when I started school there were a lot of other kids starting at the same and by the second day I was still basically talking to 3 of the girls. One of the girls (R) is the one I'm having problems with. For the first week or so we were pretty close and sat together at lunch and had a lot in common but we don't have any classes together. She found some geeky guy friends and as soon as she did it seemed like she was avoiding me. I wouldn't see her for days at a time and when I finally did she said she was 'on her death bed' with a sickness. Yeah, right, like every week? But whenever I did see her at lunch we would get along and laugh. Then the other day I was looking at where she usually sits at lunch with her geek friends and didn't see her so I left. I walked back later and very faintly saw her over there but wasn't sure so I ignored it. After I thought about it I realized she was over there before so I walked back to ask why she was avoiding me. When I got there she was gone again. I asked one guy if she was here today and he said he she wasn't. Then, when I walked away I heard them laugh. After school I saw her get in her car. Like two days later I finally talked to her again and asked her if she had been at school that day and she said she had had to go to the doctors. All day. She said hadn't been at school. I was pissed. My question is how to deal with this. I keep getting mixed signals. What advice do you have oh great ones?

I say forget her. She's obviously not a true friend, and you should spend the time and energy making new ones instead of wasting it on her. There is a HUGE controversy going on in our school over this.. many of the kids think that the coach should have been suspended for a bit but then put back on the team. While others think the school did the right thing by firing him, I personally think kicking him off was the correct way to handle this situation, here is the situation.

Some football players from a rival school had been writing nasty comments on our football players profiles on myspace and facebook, one of our football players printed it off and took it to show to the coach before the rival game. The coach read the paper, tore it up, and said "you know what I think, Screw em" then he continued to take his penis out and piss on the paper! In front of the whole football team, at the rival school while getting ready in the locker room. What do you think about this?

I think any teacher, and that's technically what the coach is, that exposes themselves in front of students should be kicked out of the profession for good.

It's a very hard thing when stuff like that happens. Sometimes wanting a baby bad and not getting it can cause people to go through so many emotions. There are procedures one can try to conceive a child.There are tests men can take that can let you know about sperm count and for a woman it lets her know when she is most fertile. I don't think cheating is the answer. I always say once a cheater always a cheater. I do believe that people make mistakes and people can change, but it real puts a damper on one's trust after that. What you should do is maybe do something different and out of the blue, plan to go somewhere for a weekend or somewhere different one night or day, be creative and nice, even though it may hurt. then sit her down and discuss how you feel about what is going on and if she asks about myspace, you can say you created a new account and was looking to add her and found that stuff so she doesn't accuse you of spying, or if you have a mutual friend you know is on her friends list you can say you looked at her page through there. I'm against spying but some people would never know about certain crappy things a significant other or spouse is doing if they never looked. Anyway, when you talk to her explain everything and the alternatives. If things go by and you've talked about all the things you wanted and she still seems to go astray, I would take a break from her until maybe she realizes what she did. If not, you don't need to go through that pain and it wouldn't be worth it. At least you are someone who tried and actually would take on the responsibility. Hope things work out:)

I still dream about him at least once a week. I think about him at least once a day. We hadn't talked in almost three years because I couldn't handle the friendship thing. I recently got in touch with him via myspace. My stomach has been in knots for days. I can't concentrate on anything. I'm so spaced out thinking about what could have been and is there still a chance for us? ... I have been married to someone else now for seven years and we have four kids. I've liked a kid for 2.5 yrs %26amp; never really talked directly to him, but came close tons of times. We stare each other down and get all nervous when we're around each other %26amp; it seems that he likes me a lot. Stares %26amp; holds eye contact, double takes, gets nervous when Im around etc. It feels like we both know that we adore each other, but there's 2 problems. I'm worried hes too nervous to talk %26amp; my best friend likes him, %26amp; its been established that hes "her" crush in a silent way. I have 3 other cute kids that stalk me, but hes the most accessible, if she werent in the way, that is. She has a guy she's almost involved with (another complicated story, they just had a falling out), so she doesnt have "dibs" but Im sure there would be hurt feelings if I suddenly started talking to him and later started going out with him.

Ok I have a girlfriend whom I've just started going with so we're taking it real slow and we're not serious or "in love" yet.

Let me start off by telling you about her. She's a mother of three, has a few roommates in the house, including one of her daughters' son-in-law. Her daughter married young and she married and had kids young too. So if I'm right, altogether including my girlfriend, there's 9 people in the house and her married daughter does still live with her along with her husband.

Only people who are working or getting checks each month is my girlfriend, one of her roommates and her son-in-law. Well, today is his first day on the job so he hasn't gotten a paycheck yet.

Her kids are young and even she has some adult roomies but they don't clean up after themselves as they should. Sometimes her married daughter will clean but not always. She got a lot of animals to look after, cages to clean. She works 10 hours a day on school days. One of the roomies has a two year old daughter who screams all the time, giving my girlfriend a headache while the roomie don't control the little monster.

So everyone is kinda low on money because only three people living in that house has a job though it's the first day of work for one of them. My girlfriend had her cellphone on but had to turn it off til payday so I have to call her at home til then. She does not have a driver's license (I forgot how she lost it) so she can't drive herself. I think she did say she was going to get it back in the spring. In the meantime, she has to depend on her roomie to drive her or depend on public transportation which is fairly ok. The guy she takes care of on the job (the guy has muscular dystrophy) doesn't get around much as he can't drive and neither can she so they don't get out to have fun and all that. I guess they don't trust the public transportation too well.

Yesterday, I emailed her and told her I was here if she needed to talk and she said she hardly talks to anyone about her problems. I don't get it. She told me she finds it hard to talk to women but not me but she doesn't want to talk about what's bothering her. My girlfriend says she enjoys talking to me and that I make her laugh. In fact, she put a comment in myspace for me and put a pic of an animated cat laughing with the words, "you make me laugh" which is cute! But she is soooooooooo stressed out, find it hard to have a good time but she still enjoys talking to me as she says but doesn't want to talk about her problems with me.

I do know that she was married and her ex-husband was abusive, on drugs and tried to kill her and she had bad luck with her youngest's father so she's finding it hard to love someone, including me. I can understand that because it's a trust issue because of what she's been through before. She says we have to be slow because I could be nice in the beginning then be something else later which can always be true. So I understand what she's saying about trust but I really like her and while I'm ok with being slow, I don't want to be TOOOOOOOO slow! I would like for our relationship to go somewhere someday but I don't want to scare her off so much or rush her.

I don't know how to help her, make her feel better in order for us to have a more serious relationship soon. It takes time but I'd for it to happen and I don't want to scare her off. She kept saying that I make her laugh, down to earth and really cool but just doesn't always act like she's enjoying my company or that she's feeling ok. I want to make her feel better about things but I don't know how. I offer to be there for her, to talk to her and I make myself available but it's not making much of a difference right now.

I really really do not want to lose her. You don't find someone like her in the world very much. Trust me, you don't. Another reason why I don't want to break up is because she says she enjoys my company and I'm afraid just splitting away from her will just add more to her issues, whatever they are.

Well, maybe sometimes it doesn't seem like she's enjoying your company is because she's too stressed out with the problems.

And maybe she views her problems embarrassing to say to you, so she keeps the convos non-serious? Am I right?

IT's probably letting go in a serious way around you.

You can try just helping out around the home, maybe that will make some of the problems better and ask one of the adults that don't have a job, if their interested and you can ask them questions to make a resume and just help them out.

Either she's grateful, or doesn't want your charity.

Sounds like your wife is just a little over hormonal at this point. She really needs to let what ever is bothering her go, this should be her time to focus on herself and the new baby. It does sound a little crazy that she checks out your ex's myspace and emails this other person. She knows she is taking this too far and probably hates herself for it. This is why she is threatening to leave for a while. Talk with her, tell her she needs to be the bigger person here and let things go. Reminder her that you love her, remind her that you are concerned about the influence this might be having on your daughter. If she doesn't let up maybe you should be the one who takes a break from her. I am sorry..sounds like a crazy situation.

Maybe it would be better to let her leave for a while. Let her know that she should take a break from it all meaning no checking the ex myspace page and no talking to the ex roommate. She is causing uneccessary stress on herself which is common in pregnant women who worry about thiings or women in general when their significant other has children from a prior relationship. Send her to her mothers or somewhere she can relax and make sure you fix this situation BEFORE she comes home.

Your current wife really shouldn't be interfering with your ex or your child at all....The arrangement between your ex and yourself and daughter really shouldn't involve your current wife - although it's good to consult her about things.

I feel that maybe you and your wife need counselling before baby comes to sort out any issues - I feel issues should have been sorted out well before a baby is conceived and another child is involved...but it's too late for that now...you will have to work together to make your realationship work for your baby's sake....take care!

Second of all I posted something on our myspace page about loser parents it is not my fault she took it to heart. She has involved me this whole time. I didn't get involved until she and I talked once on your behalf and then she contacted me for how long before I pissed her off to make her go away? Then when we finally found out the little girl was yours you both involved me again. Therefore you need to state the whole story so everyone knows what is going on instead of making it sound like I did this to myself. As far as the mutual friend she emails me like every day and then gets mad when something came out that she said to the room mate and blamed me for what she said herself to someone else. She is mostly mad that I didnt stand up for her when the other two were saying stuff.

I'm not one of those kids that hate preps, I'm 19 outa high school and don't belong to a scene, there's nothing wrong with shopping there,I havefriends who do, I get some of my stuff (without logos) since they have alot of xs-xxs clothes to fit me and pretty low prices. but I mean always talking about those stores,having one of them as their myspace layout, or in a screen name, going on their website on their free time in school, only getting their clothes there and bragging about it... don't get me wrong the stores are okay I love the smell and the jeans, but the clothes and styles never change though they get new clothes but they all basically look like the same stuff , I just don't get how the have ppl obsessed with them, they don't even keep up with the fasion alot of them are beyond last year. ago. and it isn't like they're expensive enough to name drop. why there instead of express,bebe,saks,gap,designer clothes. is it some fashion propaganda? lol

I like the stuff, but everyone wears it.

Like everyday they wear an item from that store.

I have alot of stuff from there, but not so much I am wearing an item everyday.

Everyone these days just want to fit in.
